Checked out the 9MCM Jubilee Market Place that was held on 20 – 21 June. The weekend market was organized in lieu of Singapore’s Jubilee Year celebrations, with this, each vendor had to showcase an iconic food item or creation. The creations had to reflect Singapore’s culture and heritage.
The market was a smorgasbord of food, food, some furniture, local designer items, and more food. In spite of how very small the market was, there was always something to drool at in each corner.
With no time to waste, my friends and I found ourselves collecting food items and bracing our wallets against over killing it on the shopping.
The organizers had also set up a sitting area of crates, where you can chill and enjoy your food loot. The vibe reminded me a lot of the markets you find in Melbourne, but the items on sale here fell into the category of gourmet and bespoke.
